March Madness

This month has gone by so fast. So much has happened but it doesn't feel like we have accomplished that much. For example we had Spring Break and we had the goal of painting our house like I had said in my post before. Well we started working two weeks ago taking things off the walls and getting them washed. We started seeing huge cracks in our walls. Our walls aren't normal dry wall walls, they are plaster walls, which sucks... bad. So my uncle Clair (who I love so much and is the greatest guy in the world) came over to look at the cracks. He works construction and knows a lot about these kinds of things. Well he said that we need to dig out and bread the cracks up, he had us take exact-o knives and just cut our halls. So here the walls looked like after we did this.
Do you see those holes?

See the mess it makes?? That was everywhere!

So after we dug out all those cracks we had to paint pink glue into the holes. It was way harder than it looks. We could not get the glue on any part of the walls besides the cracks or it would show through. So we had to wait a couple of days for this to dry. On Friday night Clair, my dad, and Jacob my brother all came over to help plaster the walls. They had the scaffolding up and everything. They had to let that dry over night and then Clair came back the next morning to put another layer on. He said we had to wait til Monday (yesterday) and we could sand and prime it. Well by this time our Spring Break was over. Look how much better they look all patched up.

We went out to dinner on Saturday night with some of my friend from high school. (Cami & Chandler, Heather & Alex, and Laurin & Josh) it was really fun. Sunday night I was woken up to Kamron moaning and groaning in pain. He was complaining that he was going to throw up and that he was cold. I felt his head and he was on fire! I didn't have a thermometer and I didn't know what to do. Well I tried calling 7-11 to see if they had thermometers and no one spoke English. I was so frustrated. It was so scary I didn't know what to do, finally at 6:00 am Dan's opened and I rushed down there. I had called my mom on the way there and she told me to get soup and Gatorade and of course a thermometer. I got home and took his temperature and it was 101 degrees. Well we medicine in him and finally got back to sleep. I called into work and they said to come in after work. Kamron stayed home from work and school, and stayed in bed all day. So no work was done in our house. I am starting to have anxiety about how disorganized our house is.

All our furniture is pushed to the middle. Our couches are covered and there is white dust everywhere. Look at how white our floors are and the vacuum is gray!

Well we are hoping that by this Friday we will be able to start painting.. Keep your fingers crossed. Oh and before I forget, Kamron and I thought that it would be fun to do a basket ball bracket against each other. So who ever wins they get to make the other person do what ever they want. I am thinking laundry for a month or couples dance lesson.(I've been watching Dancing with the Stars lol)

Last time Kamron told me we were tied... That probably means I am winning. :)

Wow, I would have anxiety too! But it's going to look so awesome when you get done with it. It will all be worth the work and the anxiety:). I'm glad Kameron is ok. That would be scary. But I think you handled it well. And isn't my father-in-law the best? I love him!:) We miss you guys too. We would have been there helping too. Hope Kameron feels better and I hope your bracket does well and that you win!! :)

I know it does stink! At least there is little at the end of the tunnel. Come over here and see our mess of a basement and it will make you realize you are so close to being done!

Your walls look awesome!! You know, those projects just never end up being as easy as we want them to be. But your hard work will pay off. Better to get it done right the first time! And I love the march madness brackets. I hope you win. One year, I was like 3,000 in the entire bracket out of like 300,000 entries (without much knowledge of basketball other than a few college names I knew were good). Brandon was so bugged :) yet proud. Love the scrabble magnet letters!!

yay! I am glad we can be blog buddies now! We definitely need to hang out more often, especially now that Alex and Jeremy will be around too. Yay! Married couples to hang out with! Oh and I totally hope you win the March Madness bracket contest!

She is a doll! She is just such a character. We should for sure do a girls night but I probably can't do it for a few weeks cuz I work a ton now and I leave next week for NC. Your house is looking good, sorry you didn't get to paint yet.
